KCC Membership Requirements
KCC (Kato Cycle Club) membership requirements as of 8-15-06 for all club members with less than 15 years of service.
Current members: all members are required to follow the current club constitution/bi-laws as well as follow club ground rules. Each member is required to contribute a minimum amount of service hours that are annually set. The minimum amount of service hours in the year 2007 is 32 work hours.
New Members: new members need to have a sponsor that is a current KCC member in good standing. If you do not have a sponsor one will be appointed for you. The sponsor must be willing to mentor the new prospect and the prospect must attend a minimum of three meetings with the sponsor before the prospect can ask to be voted in as a probationary member. After one year of probation the prospect can asked to be voted in as a full member. The probationary members must follow the current club constitution/bi-laws as well as follow club ground rules. The probationary member must also work all of the service hours (currently 32) which may be pro-rated depending on the time of year joined. Once a prospect is voted in as a probationary member, they must pay a $ 125 initiation fee as well as annual dues of $ 75 which may also be pro-rated. These are both non-refundable if the probationary member does not complete their probationary year. After the probationary member is voted in as a full member they will receive a black club shirt as a part of the initiation fee. Probationary members are not allowed to vote on club business.
Probationary members may ask for a club key (to be voted on by members present at a meeting) and have full use of the club grounds.
Meetings are held every Thursday evening at 8:00 pm at the Kato Cycle Club.
